Position: Program Cook
Term: Full Time
Supervisor: Youth Lodge Program Manager
Location: Victoria Harbour, Ontario
Scope:
Reporting directly to the Youth Lodge Program Manager, and under the overall supervision of the Executive Director, the Program Cook is responsible for preparing nutritious daily meals and developing menus for staff when programs are not in session, as well as for both staff and clients during program times.
Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals for clients and staff, including specialized and culturally appropriate dishes.
Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, following all health, safety, and food handling regulations.
Coordinate weekly menu planning, food purchasing, and sourcing from local providers where possible.
Promote healthy eating through recipes, educational materials, activities, and by supporting youth cooking classes within the program.
Incorporate knowledge of Indigenous cultures and traditional ceremonial foods into meal preparation and planning.
Qualifications:
Completion of a culinary program, food services training, or equivalent experience.
Food Handler’s Certificate (current and in good standing).
Experience preparing nutritious meals for groups, with knowledge of specialized diets (e.g., allergies, diabetes, vegetarian/vegan).
Knowledge of Indigenous cultures, traditional foods, and ceremonial food preparation considered a strong asset.
Experience working with youth and/or in community-based or residential program settings.
Ability to plan menus, budget for food costs, and source from local providers.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and compliant kitchen environment.
Comfortable supporting or facilitating cooking classes with youth in program.
Valid G driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Provide a clear Broad Record Check.
Salary & Benefits:
Base Salary: $43,000 - $45,000 per year
Additional 4% vacation pay on top of base salary

Position: Indigenous Youth Navigator
Term: Full Time – Contract to March 2029
Supervisor: Youth Lodge Program Manager
Location: Varies
Main reporting location: Community Health Hub, Midland On

Scope:
This position is under the direct supervision of the Youth Lodge Program Manager and overall supervision of the Executive Director and/or designate. This position will work closely with all Enaahtig locations and programming, while working mainly out of the North Simcoe Youth Wellness Hub (NSYWH) located at the Community Health Hub.
Responsibilities:

A) Facilitation
Work from various locations; NSYWH, Enaahtig offices, Christian Island etc.
Interview youth clients, asses their interests, strengths and barriers to support they need.
Design, deliver and facilitate programming for youth at various locations.
Ensure clients receive services in a timely manner.
B) Program Planning and Design
Work in partnership with Enaahtig’s Justice Attendance Centre program.
Contribute to departmental and organizational team processes including involvement in special projects, service development, planning, promotion and evaluation.
Provide peer support and crisis management to 25-50 clients annually through individualized and group-based work.
Network with Indigenous Elders and ceremony keepers to support client needs.
Network with local mainstream and Indigenous organizations to process referrals as needed.
C) Other Duties
Participate in internal meetings as required.
Complete electronic case notes in EMHware database.
Ensure all stats are recorded in NSYWH reporting system.
Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
A diploma/degree in Social Work, or related field.
Experience working with Indigenous youth an asset. Knowledge of Indigenous culture and social issues as they affect Indigenous youth.
Must be willing to provide a clear Vulnerable Sector Check.
Must have a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
Must be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid, NVCI and other trainings as required.
Be a role model in the community.
Salary & Benefits:
Base Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 per year
Additional 4% vacation pay on top of base salary
3-weeks paid vacation and sick time (accrued)
